New digital platform launched to support Nova Scotia wine tourism and related businesses
“Visit Nova Scotia Wineries.com” portal will bring wine tourism and related businesses under one digital roof
Greenwich, NS, Jan. 10, 2022 – Nova Scotia’s wine tourism sector is pleased to announce that it is rolling out a new digital platform in 2022 to make it easier for visitors to the area to book visits, vacations, adventures and events in Nova Scotia wine country.
The Visit Nova Scotia Wineries website is a one-stop shopping portal that will bring together wineries, restaurants, accommodations, retail and other wine-related businesses – all under one digital roof.
“The wine tourism sector has grown tremendously in Nova Scotia over the past two decades, and people are genuinely excited about visiting Nova Scotia wine country,” said Sally Wallace, who founded the VNSW portal with husband Bill.
“We want to make it simple and easy for tourists or visitors to the area to build a Nova Scotia wine experience around their day trips, weddings, family reunions, local adventures and overnight vacations.”
The portal will enable tourists to book wine tours, dinner reservations, spa treatments, overnight accommodations, adventures and special events.
It will also provide information on activities such as shopping, biking trails, sea kayaking, and hiking.
Wallace said the portal will promote individual wine tourism businesses by increasing their digital presence and exposure. VNSW is now inviting wine-sector and related businesses to partner with the initiative and sign up for membership programs.
VisitNovaScotiaWineries.com portal was developed in partnership with Digital Nova Scotia’s Digital Assistance for Small Business Program with support from the Government of Nova Scotia.
